Student Council is an active organization composed of four senators from each class and four officers. Up to four students may be selected by the sponsor as at-large senators.

Student council members are expected to maintain an overall "C" average with no grade below a 60 and to attend meetings held every Thursday at 7:15 a.m.

The many events hosted by student council are homecoming activities including the Homecoming dance, Thanksgiving food drive, Christmas Angel Tree, Red Cross blood drive, and Teacher Appreciation Week. Through student council, students learn leadership skills and gain experience by working cooperatively.

Many student council members are active in other areas of THS. For example, student council members are band members, athletes, and honor society members. They participate in drama, choir, science club, and peer helpers. Because of their active schedules, they learn time management and prioritization; skills invaluable to them in college and their future careers.
